Course Description
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who perform a broad range of tasks on a variety of light vehicles in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.
Course Structure
In order to achieve qualification AUR30616 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, student must complete following 36 units of competencies.

The volume of learning for the qualification is 1200 hours. This comprises of:
- 462 hours of face to face training in classroom
- 394 hours of practical training in automotive workshop.
- 344 hours of assessment including knowledge and practical assessment
This will be delivered over 70 Weeks of course duration including 60 weeks delivery plus 10 Weeks holidays. Students will be required to attend minimum 20 hours per week of study to deliver required volume of learning.
Assessment Methods
Written test/Knowledge questions, Practical demonstration in automotive workshop and Multiple-Choice Questions.
Pathways
After achieving AUR30616 - Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, individuals can progress to AUR40216 - Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
